2016 Fall BIMForum Theme:
"What is the New Standard for Professional Coordination?"Examining the changing standard of care for designers, builders, and owners
SESSION HIGHLIGHT:
Finding the Formula for the Perfect Coordination Process
Speaker:
Jim Fitzgerald
Plumbing Coordination ManagerJC Cannistraro, LLC
Since the widespread adoption of BIM across the AEC industry, the growth in demand for prefabricated assemblies and modular building systems has been on the rise. In Boston, where new construction and development is at an all-time high, project teams that are being formed early and embracing prefab and other lean methods are delivering floors faster and rethinking how work is done both on and off the jobsite. Using real project case study examples (both good and bad) Cannistraro, Boston’s largest mechanical construction firm, will outline the steps and/or rules for achieving an ideal project that maximizes collaboration, prefabrication and other benefits of lean construction.
